I actually think she is prettier in them. Her hair is more of a darker blonde, and her dress is less bright pink. I still don't like that they changed her looks, and I never planned to buy another doll anyway, but I would have found the doll prettier if she looked like the illustrations in Very Funny, Elizabeth. I scanned the back cover, and you can see another one on it:
